I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet little girl (and her parents) over the weekend. We had a great session, she is such a beautiful little girl.

Yesterday we took the kids to Zuma Beach. We had a great time, although it got a bit windy and kinda cold right before we left. The kids loved making sand castles and jumping in the waves. We are headed to a party this afternoon and drive home tomorrow. Here are a few pictures from the beach.
We’re currently on vacation in S. CA. It’s been a really fun week. First we visited my grandmother, and went to Knotts Berry Farm. My 5 year old is SO brave when it comes to rides…she rode with me on the Sidewinder..check out this picture…
She was tall enough so I couldn’t really say no. She is tall for her age, so I don’t think many 5 year olds ride this. She loved it. Once we stopped she asked to do it again. The people across from us were amazed she liked it. Knotts was a lot of fun, I’m glad we decided to go there instead of Disneyland. There were tons of rides for the kids, and very short lines. We rode more rides in an hour than we did all day at Disneyland last time we went. We all rode the Log Ride and both Sam and Jillian hated it…screamed most of the way through, and at the end, we had to buy the picture because both kids looked totally freaked out. I felt so bad, but it was kinda funny too.
Now we’re at my mother-in-laws house. She has a pool so we’ve been swimming a lot. This afternoon we’re going to the beach. The kids are very excited. Here are some pics from the pool.
I had the pleasure of doing a session with my good friend Elanie and her family. Elanie will be delivering baby number 4 on Thursday. Elanie will remain queen of the house, and will be chasing after 4 boys, 5 and under.

Is California burning up? It sure seems like it. We’ve had some smokey days the past couple weeks, some worse than others. The moon has been orange. Today I think it’s the worse I’ve seen it. Stepping outside it smells like we’re in the middle of a forest fire, the smoke stinging my eyes immediately. I think my children are going a bit insane being stuck in the house, but they cannot go outside with air quality the way it is. Here is a picture I took that looks out my backyard. No, those are not clouds or fog, it’s smoke. It looks like an overcast day, but with a lovely orange tint to everything. Stay inside! Obviously I won’t be holding any outside sessions until the air is clear. Heres a link to see where the fires are:
