Meet Jenna – She’s my Folsom High School Spokesmodel for the class of 2010. She’s GORGEOUS and was SO much fun to photograph. We spent the afternoon in Folsom, walking around Old Town, then going down near the river. I love all of her pictures, and hope she does as well.
Jenna will soon be armed with cards which will include exclusive senior pricing for her friends. :) Better get one fast before they’re gone!
So, we bought one of those Intex Pools for the kids play in this summer. It was only like $100 at Target. I swear it’s been the best investment. So today, after once again sitting out and watching them play, my daughter asks me to go in with them. ”No way!” is my usual answer. Why? I don’t know. Perhaps I’d rather sit and melt in the heat. Am I insane?
Today I shocked the kids by saying “Sure!”. I put on my swimsuit and lowered myself slowly into the freezing pool (we just filled it after cleaning it, so it was cold water). My kids were SO excited. They didn’t judge how I looked. They didn’t care about anything but their mom swimming with them.
We made super fast whirlpools and then drifted lazily until the water was calm again. We made super high waves where the water would peak above the rim of the pool, then splash over the edge. We’d lay on the floaties until the water was still.
I swam around in circles until my legs felt like they were going to fall off. OH! Bright idea…..GREAT EXERCISE!
My kids were thrilled. I was cool. I got exercise. I got a little sunburn. We all had a blast.

A little last minute trip to Orange County with my kids and my dad to visit my grandmother this week. We will be there Monday 6/15-Sunday 6/21. I am available for sessions during this time if anyone is interested.
I just adore these image boxes. I recently released my full digital collection in addition to print collections, and this beautiful image box is included with the purchase of all of your session images on CD. Each 4 x 6 is individually matted, allowing you to display one print, or keep them all safely inside. This is a wonderful add on for grandparents, or a classy addition to your office.
I have known Vanessa for like 18 years I think.. way back when she used to annoy her sister Jen and I in high school. I was super excited to hear that she was engaged, and super excited that I get to photograph her wedding this November. It was wonderful meeting Adrian, and can see they are a super match.
Wednesday night was quite the spectacular scene in the skies above Sacramento and the foothills. Before hiding in the house with the kids, I was able to get a couple photographs of the amazing lightning we had.
I cannot believe tomorrow is June 1. This year is flying by way too fast. A week and a half and my daughter will be out of kindergarten, and a FIRST GRADER! Slow it down! I hope everyone is having a fantastic start to the summer. I’m finishing up some sessions so will have several blog posting this week. Yay me!

I’m a bit behind in my proofing, and blog postings…I’m SO sorry. I’ve spent my Memorial Weekend, SICK. The flu caught up with me. Anyway, I hope to catch up in a day or two!
